Covington Brownfields Inventory

City of Covington, Kenton County, KY

The city of Covington served as the pilot project for the Kenton County Land Recycling GIS-based Inventory, a community-wide program for brownfield redevelopment.  Through a grant from Northern Kentucky University (NKU), the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission and the City of Covington partnered with NKU’s Department of History and Geography and NKU’s Center for Applied Ecology to inventory sites and create a database of potential brownfields in Kenton County.
