Dispo: NO FIRE. Fire Alarm received, via computer, from the listed location.
Responding Officers
and Physical Plant personnel discovered that the alarm was caused by a bad sensor.
The Central
Campbell County Fire Department responded and checked the area. The alarm was reset and
the
building was reopened for occupancy at 10:18pm. Case closed....

taken from the listed location. Serial Number of the computer was not available when
the incident
occurred or when the report was written, on the above date. Officer spoke with
numerous individuals,
over several days, that had access to the listed location. The individuals could not
provide any
information regarding the missing item. The Incident remains under investigation....

A note was left on the subjects vehicle from a subject who's vehicle allegedly damaged the
complainants vehicle. Officer advised the complainant that an Individual Accident
Report would
have to be completed, due to the vehicles being moved. Case closed....

Dispo: NKU DPS Employee discovered a possible forged parking decal. Upon
investigation, it appeared
that the expiration year of the decal was altered. Vehicle owner was not present,
vehicle was issued a
university citation for no current decal. DPS will contact the owner and confiscate
the altered permit.
Information on this incident was referred to the Parking Office and the Dean of Students
Office for
purchase of a current permit and possible disciplinary action. Case remains open at
this time....

finding no evidence of smoke or fire. N.K.U. Environmental Safety Officer also
responded and was
advised of the situation. The alarm was reset, and all units cleared the scene at

Dispo: Residential Life personnel requested an Officer respond reference taking a report.
Upon
arrival, Officer was advised that the Residential Life personnel, while checking on a
noise complaint,
found two (2) small marijuana seeds and a small plastic bag on a desk in a dorm room.
The Officer
confiscated the items and placed them in the DPS Evidence Room. The residents of the
room were
not present. Due to the small amount, the incident will be turned over to the NKU
Dean of Students
and Residential Life Offices for any further action or disciplinary measures. The Incident
remains
under investigation....

Dispo: Fire Alarm received from the listed location. NO INJURIES. Responding
officers found a
trash can on fire in the second floor restroom of Goldenrod Wing (D-Wing). Officer
on the scene was
able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher. The Central Campbell County
Fire Department
responded and ventilated the area to clear the smoke. The cause of the fire is
unknown at this time
and there are no suspects. The Kentucky State Fire Marshal's Office was advised and
an investigator
from that office will respond on 4/17/01 to inspect the area. The alarm was reset
and the building was
reopened for occupancy at 12:50am. Incident is under investigation....

Dispo: NO FIRE. While maintenance work was being done inside the listed location, a
smoke alarm
was received via computer at D.P.S. Headquarters. Maintenance had advised in advance
that the
work was to be done. Maintenance personnel advised the cause of the alarm was dust
created from
the work being done and that the alarm was unfounded. The Fire Department was not
dispatched
due to the fact that Maintenance was on the scene at the time of the alarm and were aware
of its

Location: NORSE HALL - FIRST FLOOR - ALCOHOL-Alcohol Related Incident
Dispo: Residential Life personnel requested an Officer respond to the listed location.
Upon arrival,
DPS was advised that Thirteen (13) subjects were found with alcohol in a dorm room.
Residential
Life personnel had disposed of the alcohol prior to the Officers arrival. No charges
were filed
because subjects were not in violation of any laws. A copy of the report will be forwarded
to the Dean
of Students and Residential Life Offices for possible disciplinary action. Case
closed....

Location: DORMS - KENTUCKY HALL - 1ST FLOOR - DRUGS-Drug Related Incident
Dispo: Residential Life personnel requested an Officer respond reference taking a report.
Upon
arrival, Officer was advised that the Residential Life personnel, while checking a
residence, found
items related to possible drug activity. The Officer confiscated the items and
placed them in the
D.P.S. Evidence Room. Property Card #2444. The residents of the room were not
present. A copy
of the report will be forwarded to the Dean of Students and Residential Life Offices for
any further
action of discipliary measures. (Note: Incident Report was completed and the Report
Number was
assigned on April 28th.) The incident remains under Investigation....
