Dispo: Female subject experiencing Chest Pains. The subject was being treated by the

Nurse. The Central Campbell County Squad responded and transported the subject to St.
Elizabeth
Hospital - South for further treatment. Case closed....

Location: CERAMICS BUILDING - SMOKE ALARM - ALARM-Alarm Drop
Dispo: NO FIRE. Smoke alarm received via the ESUSA Computer from the listed location.
Upon
arrival, D.P.S. Officers and N.K.U. Physical Plant personnel observed Smoke around the
buildings awning.
The Fire Alarm panel was indicating Room #111 Air Duct. The Central Campbell County
Fire
Department responded and checked the building. Upon Investigation, it was determined
that a Power
Transformer had blown near the building and the Smoke reached the building, entered the
Air Duct,
setting off that Smoke Alarm. At the same time, a Power Outage occurred in Highland
Heights that set
off alarms in other campus buildings. D.P.S., Physical Plant and Fire Department
personnel checked the
other campus buildings, finding no evidence of any Smoke or Fire. The N.K.U.
Environmental Safety
Officer also responded to the scene and confirmed that a Power Outage had occurred in the
city. The
alarm panel was re-set and the scenes were cleared at 12:29am. Case closed....

received from the area. The N.K.U. Environmental Safety Officer responded to the
scene and disregarded
the Fire Department which had been dispatched. The area was checked and no fire was
detected. The

Dispo: Female subject stated that she ran over construction material that was in the
roadway. The
construction material was from the Parking Lot J reconfiguration project. The right
rear tire was
punctured by a one (1) foot-long steel rod causing the tire to go flat. The vehicle
appeared not to have
any other damage. A copy of the report will be forwarded to N.K.U. Campus Planning
Office for
continued investigation....

Dispo: NO FIRE. Smoke Detector Activation Alarm received from the listed location.
D.P.S. Officers,
N.K.U. Physical Plant personnel and the N.K.U. Environmental Safety Officer responded and
checked the
area finding no evidence of smoke or fire. N.K.U. Dispatch was notified earlier that
contractors would be
working on the buildings Fire Alarm System. As a result of that notification,
the Fire Department was not
notified. Upon Investigation, it was determined that the alarm was caused by welding
being done in that
area. (See Report #010474). N.K.U. Electricians will disable the smoke detector
until the welding is
completed in approximately two (2) weeks, per the N.K.U. ESO. The scene was cleared
at 11:45am.

Dispo: Campbell County Police requested assistance from agencies with four-wheel drive
vehicles to
assist their officers with a large party at the listed location. Four-wheel drive
vehicles were needed
because of the terrain of the area involved. The scene was cleared and officers
returned to campus at
3:06am. Case closed....

the alarm was a

Dispo: N.K.U. Officer in the vicinity of the listed location observed black smoke coming
from behind the
building. Further investigation revealed flames approximately 2 feet high coming
from three different
areas of the ground. The fire was extinguished with a fire extinguisher.
Officer on the scene advised that
the fire department was not needed. The fire was caused by a Maintenance employee
cleaning paint grids
with paint thinner. No damage to the building or grounds. Case closed ....

Dispo: Campbell County Dispatch requested that an N.K.U. Officer respond to the listed
location in
reference to an intrusion alarm. Campbell County Officer enroute from the Southern
End of the county.
Upon arrival, the N.K.U. Officer met an employee who stated that he had set-off the alarm
when he
entered the building. The employee stated that his code did not work. The
alarm was cleared by another
employee reporting for work. Campbell County Dispatch was advised and the County
unit was
disregarded. The scene was cleared at 08:03am. Case closed....

Dispo: Female Staff Member stated that her Department was to receive Ten (10) Computers
but only
received Nine (9). Complainant believes that the other computer is on a University
delivery truck. D.P.S.
Officers observed the delivery truck until it was parked for the weekend. Upon
Inspection, the vehicle
was found unsecured and the computer was still inside. The computer was secured by
University
personnel. Two (2) University employees were identified as the truck's operators.
No charges were filed,
because no crime had occurred. University personnel stated that the matter would be
handled internally.

Dispo: Female Employee reported that a subject was in her office creating a disturbance.
Upon arrival,
Officers observed the subject and attempted to speak to him. The subject began
yelling, refused to produce
Identification and assumed a defensive position. Officers were able to diffuse the
situation after advising the subject of possible legal repercussions. The subject
was then escorted off campus. Case closed....

Location: UNIVERSITY CENTER - FOURTH FLOOR - SMOKE ALARM
Dispo: NO FIRE. Smoke alarm activation received via the ESUSA Fire Computer from the
listed
location. Responding officers found no sign of fire or smoke. The Central
Campbell County Fire
Department responded and checked the area. Investigation determined that the cause
of the alarm was
an elevator motor overheating. The elevator was shut down until repairs could be
made. The scene was
cleared and the building was reopened at 1:23pm. Case closed....

Dispo: Male subject requested to use the swimming pool at the listed location and refused
to show an
N.K.U. student I.D. card. The policy for using the pool has been explained to the
subject. The subject
became irate with Health Center employees and refused to leave. The subject was
located and
advised by officers that he would have to leave campus. The subject left campus
without further incident.

Campbell County Life Squad responded and checked the subject. The subject was
transported by the
squad to St. Luke East Hospital for further treatment. Case closed....

Male subject sustained a cut on his leg. The University Nurse responded and treated the

subject was advised that he should go to the hospital for stitches. Subject refused
transportation by the squad, he stated that he would respond in his
P.O.V. Case closed....

NO INJURIES. Two (2) Vehicles Involved. Drivers of each vehicle stated that as they

backing out of their parking spaces, they
collided with each other. Minor damage was noted
to both vehicles. Case closed....
