Location: NUNN HALL - FIFTH FLOOR - COMPLAINT RECEIVED
Dispo: Faculty member reported on August 24, 2001 that unknown subject(s) had accessed his
computer
without his permission. Subject was advised to password protect his computer and
files to prevent
further incidents. Case remains open at this time....

Location: DORMS - NORSE HALL - ALCOHOL RELATED INCIDENT
Dispo: Residential Life staff requested assistance with a juvenile in reference to an
alcohol related
incident. Residential Life staff stated that a juvenile was also located at the
location. The eight (8)
subjects were cooperative with the residential life staff and D.P.S. officers. The
alcohol had already
been disposed of prior to the officers arrival. The juvenile was transported to
D.P.S. office and the
juveniles family was notified of the incident. The juvenile's mother responded and
the juvenile was
released to her. No charges were filed because the alcohol had already been disposed
of before
arrival of the officers. A copy of the report will be forwarded to Residential Life
and the Dean of
Students Office for any further disciplinary action. Case closed....

Dispo: Male subject came to the D.P.S. Office to report that he had been harassed by his
roommate,
earlier this date. The complainant did not wish to press charges, but requested a
room change.
Residential Life responded and stated that they would make the arrangements on Tuesday,
September
4th, 2001. Case closed....

Dispo: Female subject walked to D.P.S. Office, from the Dorms, asking for medical
assistance. The
subject stated that she is diabetic and had been treated, on September 3rd, at the Urgent
Care Center in
Cold Spring for high blood pressure. The Central Campbell County Squad responded and
transported
the subject to St. Luke Hospital - East for treatment. Case closed....

Location: DORMS-NORSE HALL - EMOTIONALLY UPSET SUBJECT
Dispo: Residential Life reported a female was emotionally upset and thinking about
suicide. N.K.U.
Officers responded along with Residential Life personnel and talked with the subject.
Officers and
Residential Life personnel observed "cut marks" on the subject. An N.K.U.
Counselor was notified
and responded. The counselor was able to calm the subject and she agreed to a
counseling session
with the N.K.U. Counselors, later this date. A report on this incident was also
filed by Residential
Life. Case closed....

owner of the vehicle was located and questioned. The permit was confiscated and
placed into evidence.
The subject was issued a Kentucky State Citation for Criminal Possession of a Forged
Instrument-3rd
Degree and received a date to appear in Campbell County District Court. Case

ankle. The subject
stated that he was walking to class, between the BSU Building and Landrum, when he fell
over a "barb"
sticking out of the sidewalk. The subject was treated by the University Nurse.
The subject was transported to his vehicle. The subject stated that he would drive
to St. Luke Hospital - East for
additional treatment. The N.K.U. Physical Plant Department was notified of the
obstruction and to have it
removed. Case closed....

contemplating suicide.

subject. The subject agreed to go the hospital voluntarily and was transported by
the Central Campbell County Squad
to St. Luke Hospital - West for evaluation. A report on this incident was also filed
by Residential Life.

Dispo: NO INJURIES. Two (2) Vehicles involved. Driver of Unit #1 missed the
entrance to Parking Lot
F and while backing-up to enter the lot backed into Unit #2. Unit #2 was crossing
Carroll Drive from
Parking Lot E to Parking Lot F. Driver of Unit #2 was complaining of a back problem,
but refused any
medical assistance, statring that she would seek her own treatment. Minor damage was
noted to both
vehicles. Case closed....

Dispo: NO FIRE. Fire alarm was received via the ESUSA Computer from the listed
location. Upon
arrival, N.K.U. Officers met Physical Plant personnel and were directed to the listed
location. The
Central Campbell County Fire Department and the N.K.U. Environmental Safety Officer
responded and
checked the area. Upon investigation, it was determined that subject(s) unknown had
activated the pull
station outside of Room #3119. The alarm was re-set, building cleared for
re-occupancy and the scene
cleared at 8:45pm. Under investigation....

Location: PARKING LOT P - ROBBERY 2ND DEGREE-515.030-Purse Snatching
Dispo: Female subject stated that as she walked to her vehicle a subject approached her
from behind,
pushed her to the ground, pulled her purse from her hand and ran off into the wooded
area. The victim
was not physically harmed. N.K.U. Officers were able to obtain a partial description
of the suspect. The
suspect is described as: (Black) male, large build, 5'9" to 6'0" tall, short
dark hair, wearing dark pants,
loose bulky long sleeve shirt and gloves. The suspect also had a strong odor of
cologne at the time of the
incident. Information on this incident, attempt to locate message, was disseminated
to other Police
Agencies via the LINK/NCIC Computer. If you have any information pertaining to this

Dispo: NO FIRE. Fire Alarm was received via the ESUSA Computer from the listed
location. Upon arrival,
N.K.U. Officers were directed to the First (1st) Floor. The Central Campbell County
Fire Department
and the N.K.U. Environmental Safety Officer responded and along with the D.P.S. Officers
checked the
area. Upon investigation, it was determined that subject(s) unknown had activated
the pull station outside
of Room #1122. The N.K.U. ESO cleared the Fire Department, at 02:36am. The
building was reopened
for occupancy and the alarm re-set at 02:40am. Under investigation....

responded and checked the area. Investigation revealed that a smoke detector
activated by an
unknown cause. The alarm was reset and the building cleared for re-occupancy at

ex-boyfriend and she
is concerned for her safety. The daughter was located and was doing well. They
were advised that

see if the card had been turned in, negative results. Subject also stated that she could
have misplaced
the card somewhere else. Subject was advised to call the bank and have the card cancelled.

Dispo: Female advised that she had been receiving calls at her location from a male
subject she felt
was very strange. The subject had called thinking he had won free concert tickets,
but had not. The
subject, after finding that he did not win, became upset and confrontational. The
complainant then
became alarmed, but stated that the caller never made any threats. The complainant
was able to provide
D.P.S. with information on a possible suspect. The incident remains under
investigation....

believed to have been caused by strong wind blowing against an alarmed door, setting off

Dispo: A 1986 BMW (White) 4-Door was found at the listed location. The vehicle was
listed on the
University's Tow List for numerous outstanding parking citations. A Tow Truck
responded and began
the towing procedure. Before the vehicle was towed, the vehicles owner
arrived. The owner was taken
to the Parking Office where he paid the outstanding citations and purchased a parking
decal. The
owner also paid the towing company's "show-up" fee. The vehicle was then
released. Case closed....

Dispo: Several Intrusion Alarms were received simultaneously from the listed location.
D.P.S. Officers
responded and checked the area finding nothing out of the ordinary. All exterior
doors were checked,
all were secure. (Note: A similar incident occurred on 9/13/2001, See Report
#010618). N.K.U.
Power Plant was advised and they notified the supervisor. The system will be checked
for possible
malfunctions. The alarm was re-set and scene cleared at 11:55pm. Case

Location: PARKING LOT B - TRAFFIC-Traffic Stop
Dispo: Male subject was observed operating a motor vehicle in a reckless manner at the
listed location. The
subject was observed driving in circles at a high rate of speed, then placing the vehicle
into 180 degree
"donuts." At the time, a large number of pedestrians were in this lot.
The subject was issued a Kentucky State
Citation for Reckless Driving and received a date to appear in Campbell County District
Court. Case closed....

Location: DORMS - AREA AROUND WOODCREST-WILLOW - VERBAL ALTERCATION-Argument
Dispo: While on routine patrol, D.P.S. Officer could hear people yelling at each other at
the listed location. The
subjects involved were located and questioned. The subjects stated that the argument
was about personal matters.
Both subjects were advised to leave the area. A copy of this report will be
forwarded to Residential Life and the
Dean of Students Offices for possible further disciplinary actions. Case closed at
this time....

Dispo: Female reported that her 2001-2002 N.K.U. Student Parking Permit was missing from
her vehicle. The
complainant was referred to the Parking Office for a replacement. The incident
remains under investigation....

Location: FINE ARTS - CORBETT THEATER - MEDICAL RESPONSE-No Squad
Dispo: Male subject with a minor ankle injury while performing in a play at the listed
location. Officer on the
scene wrapped and applied ice to the ankle. The victim refused a squad. The
victim was advised to seek medical
attention as soon as possible. The victim again refused a squad. Case
closed....
