Summary: A fire alarm was received from the listed location. Officers, Physical Plant and the Central Campbell County Fire Department responded finding no evidence of smoke or fire. Upon investigation, it was determined that the alarm was caused by an electrical outage. The outage was caused by a lightning strike that had occurred somewhere around the campus area just prior to the alarm. Numerous locations, on and off campus, were affected by this electrical outage. The alarm was re-set, building cleared for re-occupancy and scene cleared at 1:43pm. The State Fire Marshal's Office was notified via e-mail.

When Officers requested to check the one subjects backpack, the subject stated that there was beer inside. Officers recovered Five (5) cans from the backpack. Two(2) empty cans were found were the subjects had been studying. This subject was arrested for Alcohol Intoxication, transported and lodged in the Campbell County Jail. The other subject was released.
