Instructions to Report a Work-Related Injury or Illness

Step 1:

If this is an emergency, seek medical treatment immediately.

Step 2:

If this is not an emergency, contact your supervisor to report the incident.

Notify Human Resources as soon as possible at (859) 572-6063.

If medical treatment is needed, you will be directed to an approved medical provider.
If Human Resources is unavailable or if it is after hours and it can not wait, proceed to Step 3

Step 3:

Call the Toll Free 24-Hour Access Line at 1-800-440-6285 to report the incident. They will assist you with medical appointments and/or medical advice.

Northern Kentucky University participates in a managed care system for workers’ compensation.

To have your medical care considered for payment by NKU Workers’ Care for a work-related injury/illness, you MUST follow the above process.
